Glock 43x Mos Optic - If you need a scope for your Glock 43X, I'm here to help. The Modular Optical System, or MOS, version of the G43X has a factory cutout that accepts only small footprint sizes using an RMSc type base. Not every red dot sight (RDS) will be suitable.
Originally popularized by the Smith & Wesson Shield series, the RMSc footprint is now used for many firearms including the SIG SAUER P365 series and Springfield Armory Hellcat optics. Sights are smaller than the sights of short red rifles and are important for slim guns like the G43X.

I have thoroughly researched the use of sights on rifles and tested more than a few options on the market. To help you decide which red dot will work best for your needs, I have presented a list of Glock 43X sights.

These optics will also fit the Glock 48 MOS pistol. As I try to keep the inventory current, I realize that I might miss a new product release. So, feel free to leave a comment about anything not listed in the comment section below.
Before going into the details of each visual, here is a table comparing the specifications and prices of the options currently available.

Ritten Optics offers a sturdy and durable red dot sight for your Glock pistol. Called the X3 TACTIX MPRD, the unit is built with a 6061-T6 aluminum body and a multi-coated lens. From a distance, Swamfox Sentinel (scroll down) just beats him.

The X3 TACTIX MPRD is a complete sight with 10 dot light levels. The first and second levels are suitable for night vision while the other light levels are suitable for the Mk1 eyeball in various light conditions. The automatic shutdown feature starts after 12 hours.
Riton claims a light transmission rate of 99.5% with its high-quality glass and multi-layer coatings. The lens coating is said to reduce reflections, improve clarity in low light and resist scratching.
The company has a simple warranty: if it fails return it and Riton Optics will send you a new warranty. You don't need to register the product, you don't need any documents and you don't need to be a real buyer. The company aims to process all returns within 48 hours. Service like this is hard to beat.
The suggested retail price on the optical device is $299.99. It's a new look, so you need to buy it directly from Riton. As it makes its way to the market, I'm sure we'll see discounts on this trend through regular retailers.

Shield Sights is the longest running manufacturer of red dot small pistols like the Glock 43X. Currently, the company offers two basic products: RMSc and SMSc.
Made in England, the RMSc uses an aluminum body with a polymer lens to reflect the red light. The Shield site does not list the type of aluminum it uses for the body.
Shield optics use a protective coating on the lens to reduce glare when aimed at the G43X. Polymer lenses are used in many simple situations to keep manufacturing costs down. However, some people report that the lenses are more prone to scratches.
You can purchase this sight with a 4 MOA or 8 MOA dot. For me, I prefer 4 MOA, but 8 MOA really jumps out at you. For close defense shooting, a large drop is not a bad choice, so choose whatever you think will work best for you.

The shield doesn't recognize how many light levels the sight can use. Instead, the drop automatically adjusts based on the lighting conditions.
Shield offers a 7-year warranty on electronics in RMSc and a lifetime warranty on other components.
As Shield is an English company, buying directly from the company requires a currency conversion from US Dollars to British Pounds. In addition, VAT or Value Added Tax will be charged on purchases. At the time of this writing, the suggested retail price of the sight is £300 before VAT. Once the exchange rate and VAT are added, the price is approximately $472.98 plus international shipping.
Another Shield product, this unit has the same look but also some new features. The most obvious change is that the SMSC uses a polymer body instead of aluminum.

Shield also reworked the lens. Now you can get a polymer lens with a special quartz coating on it to increase strength and resistance. You can completely replace polymer lenses with glass lenses.
Along with RMSc, SMSc is a continuous sight with automatic brightness adjustment. When mounted on your Glock pistol, the sensor measures the ambient light and changes the brightness of the red dot accordingly.
The SMSc can be purchased with a 4 MOA or 8 MOA scope. It enjoys a 7 year/unlimited warranty like the RMSc.
MSRP with VAT is $346.85 for the SMSc, with quartz-coated polymer lenses. A glass lens upgrade will cost an additional $126.13 for a total of $472.98. Incidentally, this is the same price as RMSc.

Alternatively, you can try getting one from a US dealer. For now, though, the only retailer that seems to carry them is Springfield Armory. The company's price is $299, but they are out of stock, with no expected return date.
If you don't know, SIG SAUER is now an optical manufacturer. The company makes everything from range finders to high power controls. One of his more recent additions is the Romeo Zero RDS which fits the Glock 43X and other small handguns.
Romeo Zero is designed with a polymer body and lens. It also lends itself to being lightweight — about 0.4 ounces, according to the company's specifications.
For durability, I prefer aluminum bodies 6061 or 7075. However, polymer has proven to be a durable material for gun parts. Also, I prefer glass lenses. Polymer, however, is a solid material for optics so you should be fine with this sight as long as you don't abuse it.

The SIG uses a motion activation system to activate the red dot. The system seems to work well, and I have no problem trusting it.
The drop light is manually controlled. With the Romeo Zero, you get 8 manually adjustable brightness levels. There are two models: one with a 3 MOA dot and another with a higher MOA dot.
One of the main features of this concept is its price tag: $ 219. Buying it online brings the total price down to less than $ 200 with free shipping. It's the best value deal on this list by a wide margin.
Reader Mike W emailed me about the compatibility of the Romeo Zero with the G43X MOS. He said the screws attached to the sight were too long for a Glock pistol. This illustrates the problem I discovered when trying to mount a Romeo Zero to a Springfield Armory Hellcat.

I'm trying to track down a replacement screw set. I've been advised that these M4-0.70x8mm flat screws are a good replacement, but I haven't confirmed that yet.
If you run the Romeo Zero on your Glock 43X MOS, can you tell us what modifications or replacement screws you used?
The Sentinel is strong and built to take a beating. Swampfox machines the body from 7075-T6 aluminum – the same metal used in AR fabrication.
For the lenses, Swampox uses optical glass that is multi-coated to resist fog, water, mud and scratches.

In addition, Sentinel is the only watch of this series with an IP rating: a standard rating system for measuring the ingress of water and dust in electronics and other devices.
The Sentinel is rated IPX7. Meaning it's submersible up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. No other optics offer anything close to this.
Swampfox offers RDS in two versions: one is a full guide with 10 brightness levels while the other is a fixed version with an infinitely adjustable, automatic brightness level. I have the full-auto version, and it works as advertised.
The camera samples ambient light and adjusts the 3 MOA red dot for close range. In actual use, I found that it works perfectly.
Glock 43x And Glock 48 Mos Models Introduced
Swampfox offers a 50k round warranty on the Sentinel. That is, if you have a problem with it during the first 50,000 rounds of live fire, they will fix it. If you shoot 1,000 rounds/year, the company will support you for the next 50 years. I said, however, the company will be ready to take action for any defect in the factory regardless of the round count.
Due to Sentinel's popularity, places sell out quickly. However, they are available here at a discount.
